Price at 5, 20 and 50 clients
Both tools charge by active clients, so the only fair comparison is at a fixed roster. These are base plans billed monthly, before any add-ons.

Trainerize's pricing page opens on annual prices; these are its monthly ones, and annual billing takes 10% off ($23, $71, $122 and $203). Everfit's annual prices are about 16% lower ($16, $41, $79 and $117 on Pro). Trainerize has no 20-client tier, so 20 clients means Pro 30.
How each one counts clients
Trainerize sells coaching seats in tiers: 1 on Free, 2 on Grow, then Pro at 5, 15, 30, 50, 75, 100 and 200, and Studio Plus from 500. The gaps are uneven, so client 16 moves you from $50 to $79 and client 31 from $79 to $135. It also has basic clients, people who only book sessions and buy products; they do not count toward the coaching limit.
Everfit is a slider. Pro has stops at 5, 10, 20, 35, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200, 250 and 300 clients, and Studio runs from 50 to 500. The first five clients are free forever on Starter. Everfit shows a price per client beside each stop ($3.80 at five, $1.90 at fifty), which makes the total look smaller than it is.
Onyx Coach does not count. Pro and Elite both include unlimited clients; Elite at €79 only adds premium client slots for the AI features.
What is sold separately
This is where the two differ most. Trainerize keeps the base plan lean and sells the business tools on top. Everfit puts booking, forms and basic meal plans in Pro and sells automation, the full meal planner and payments.

Trainerize's add-ons are not part of its 30-day trial, and Studio Plus ($275) includes all of them. Everfit also sells Autoflow, its automation add-on, billed on the clients who were in an active flow that month: $29 for the first 30, then $27 for each further 30 up to 120, and less per block after that.
A worked example at 20 clients
Take a trainer with 20 online clients who wants them to book sessions, pay in the app and get meal plans.
On Trainerize that is Pro 30 at $79, Business at $25, Stripe payments at $10 and Advanced Nutrition at $45, the Pro 30 rate. That is $159 a month, or $1,908 a year billed monthly.
On Everfit it is Pro at $49, with booking and basic meal plans included, plus Payments and Packages from $9: $58 a month. Add the full Meal Plans and Recipe Books planner ($39) and it is $97; add Autoflow for scheduled check-in messages ($29 at this size) and it is $126.
On Onyx Coach it is €29, but Onyx does not take payments or write meal plans, so it is not the same bundle and the page will not pretend it is. The fair comparison is the training side: programs, live logging, check-ins, a calendar and the client app, at €29 with no tier to cross at client 21.
Trials and free plans
Both give 30 days with no card. Trainerize's trial includes unlimited clients but not the add-ons, and when it ends the account drops back to the free plan for one client. Everfit's Starter plan is free for up to five clients with no time limit, the more useful free tier for a trainer who is just starting.
Annual billing takes 10% off Trainerize and about 16% off Everfit. Onyx gives 14 days with no card and has no free plan; if you do nothing at the end of the trial, nothing is charged.
Which one, then
Pick Trainerize if you run an online business built on nutrition, products and video, want video calls and your own branded app, and are happy to assemble the price from add-ons. It is the more complete of the two, and Studio Plus bundles everything once you are big enough to need it.
Pick Everfit if you want the business basics in the base price. It is cheaper at every roster size in the table above, booking and basic meal plans are included, and five clients are free forever.
Pick Onyx Coach if you coach in the gym as well as online and want the session logged live while you stand next to the client: sets, reps, RPE and rest from your phone, and a 1RM per exercise so percentage prescriptions recalculate themselves. It is €29 at 5, 20 or 200 clients, and the built-in AI writes programs with you, or you connect Claude or ChatGPT. It does not do meal plans, in-app payments, video calls or a white-labelled app, so if those are the business, pick one of the other two.
